چکیده
The quality of tomato fruit, from harvest to human consumption, requires a lengthy period for shipping, storing, and marketing. γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is good candidate because it natural substance produced by plants defend themselves against stress conditions. In this study, the effect post-harvest GABA treatments at 0 (control), 5 mM and, 20 on physical biochemical properties polysaccharide content tomatoes during 28 days storage were investigated. Our results indicated that treatment increased firmness shelf-life maintaining integrity fruits compared control treated fruits. with decreased amount WSP expression cell wall related genes Pectate lyase (PL) Polygalacturonase (PG). There was not clear difference in colour index (CI) values among all groups end storage. Moreover, also showed somewhat less ethylene production, respiration rate level two synthesis ACS2 ACS4 towards These suggested could be beneficial strategy morphological under

to determine the effects of pre-harvest salicylic acid (sa) treatments on postharvest life and quality of apricot fruits, four different concentrations (one, 1.5, three and 4.5 mm) were applied six days before harvesting of apricot fruits cv. ‘shamlou’. fruits harvested at commercial maturity stage and stored at 2ºc with 90 percent rh on the same day for a period of three weeks. the fruit was e...
متن کاملEffect of Salicylic Acid on Some Characteristics of Lime Fruits (Citrus aurantifolia L.) in Storage
Lime fruits has including economic and nutritional value but the fresh consumption of this fruit compare to processing methods is less, because of its low storage capacity. This research has been designed for study the effects of different concentrations of salicylic acid (0, 1, 2 and 3 mM) on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of lime fruit in storage period (0, 20, 40 and 60 days)...
متن کاملMaintaining the postharvest nutritional quality of peach fruits by γ-Aminobutyric acid . Morteza Soleimani Aghdam1*, Farhang Razavi2 and Fatemeh Karamneghad3
Fresh peaches are highly perishable and they deteriorate quickly during low temperature storage which results in losses in nutritional quality. To prevent these adverse effects, peach fruits were treated by dipping with γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA; 2, 4 and 6 mM) immediately after harvest and then stored at 1 °C for 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. Peach fruits treated with GABA exhibited higher flesh fir...
